If you need to cancel.

Please give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or move a visit. Here's what happens with a late cancellation, or if nobody is home:

  • Private and health fund visits: with less than 48 hours' notice, the full visit fee.
  • Medicare: with less than 48 hours' notice, the full visit fee, paid by you. Medicare doesn't pay for missed visits, so there's no rebate.
  • DVA: with less than 48 hours' notice, the full visit fee, paid by you. DVA doesn't pay for missed visits.
  • NDIS: with less than 2 business days' notice (the NDIS rule), the visit is charged to your plan, as NDIS rules allow.
  • Support at Home: with less than 2 business days' notice (the program's rule), the visit is billed to your provider, as program rules allow.
  • WorkCover and CTP: with less than 48 hours' notice, the full visit fee. WorkCover doesn't pay for missed visits, and CTP insurers usually don't either.

What time will you arrive? Your visit is booked for a set time, for example 1 pm. I drive between homes all day, so traffic or an earlier visit running long can hold me up. Please allow up to 2 hours after the booked time. I'll call or text you if I'm running late. If I can't make it within those 2 hours, there's no charge to move the visit.

Common questions.

Yes. If your extras cover includes physiotherapy, we claim your rebate on the spot with HICAPS, so you only pay the gap.

Yes, with a chronic condition management plan from your GP. Medicare pays a rebate of $63.40 on up to 5 allied health visits a year, so a 30-minute visit leaves a gap of about $57. The referral doesn't have to name us.

Not for your visits. With a Gold Card, or a White Card for an accepted condition, and a referral from your GP, surgeon or hospital team, DVA pays us directly. There's no gap and no travel charge. The one exception is a visit cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice: DVA doesn't pay for missed visits, so that fee is yours.

Please give at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or move a visit. A visit cancelled with less notice, or missed because nobody is home, is charged at the full visit fee. NDIS and Support at Home visits follow their scheme's rule of 2 business days' notice, and are charged to your plan or provider as those rules allow. DVA and Medicare don't pay for a missed visit, so DVA and Medicare clients pay the fee themselves.
